This is no typical mid-term election year, and if you have been paying attention you’d know that the fate of our great country rests on a razor-thin edge between the good and the awful. MAGA has hijacked the once-noble Republican Party – the party on which I was raised and fervently believed until they lost their way and became beholden to MAGA deplorables and Donald Trump. (Ok, my disenfranchisement from that party happened long ago – remember warmonger Bush?) Our only hope is to right this ship with numbers too great to rig or dispute – and even then I have my doubts given who is in power.
In this instance, that means turning the Senate and House into a blue Democratic majority. To that end, and running for a Senate seat in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed is that state’s last great hope, and today’s Dazzler of the Day. With his genuine connection to the working people of Michigan, El-Sayed speaks in a no-nonsense way, clearly outlining the problems we have with ongoing and unnecessary wars that are killing our troops and spiking our gas prices, as well as the tariffs that have raised costs of everything, and an inflation that seems to grow by the day while the richest people in this country only get richer.
