Back to Boston

Not that I’ve ever needed a reason to return to Boston (again and again), but when Madonna’s in town, well, it’s a given that I’ll be in town. Though I’ve passed the fanatical devotion that allowed me to recognize Cloud and Tamara on Boylston Street when the Confessions Tour rolled around in the summer of 2006, I still get a major thrill from seeing my favorite performer live. (Sad to say I wouldn’t know one of her dancers if I met them on the street this time around… and if anyone knows anything about the elusive Mr. Hobby, please let Suzie know… her daughter claims he was a teacher at her school or something, and I guess we’re trying to determine who was lying.) At any rate, we’ll be back in Boston today, and just in the nick of time – I’ve been craving a Zuni Roll from the Parish Cafe.

Madonna & A Monday Massage

Tomorrow Andy and I return to Boston, for the return of Madonna and her MDNA Tour. Needless to say, I am very excited, but I’m also slightly deflated as our seats appear to be behind the stage… or with a very limited side view. No matter, we’ve seen her before, and I’ll see her again in NYC, so we’ll just dance and sing to the music.

Before that, however, a bit of Labor Day relaxation in the form of another massage. It is said that true peace and contentment can only be found within, and there is surely something to the practices and benefits of yoga and meditation and simple exercise – but I’m after a quicker, lazy-man’s version of this – the kind of inner peace and tranquility that can only be found in a massage, where the work is all done at the hands of someone else. To that lovely end, I’ve scheduled a session at ‘etant: A Spa for Well Being‘ in the South End. It’s just a few blocks away from our place, and the perfect entry back into Boston. I’m not sure how it will compare to the heights of ecstasy found at the Mandarin Oriental, but any massage is better than no massage.

The Uncensored Prince Harry Naked Photo

Up until now, all I’ve seen are those star-censored pics that only serve to obscure Prince Harry’s ass – now here it is in all its royal glory (albeit with the TMZ watermark). I’m still undecided about this whole affair –  on the one hand, I would never get naked when there are cel phones around (only cameras and flattering lighting). However, I’ve also never been drunk in a million-dollar Las Vegas suite, and I’m sure if I was the last thing I would be thinking of is a cel phone. Hell, I’d do more than strip naked if I were in that position, and I’ve got my own photos to prove it. So I guess I feel bad for the guy. He’s young, he’s rich, he’s in Las Vegas… where is the blame? Rock out with your cock out, Mr. Prince. No shame in that game.

Tom Daley Selling His Stuff in a Speedo

While this probably wouldn’t be my first choice of attire in selling my first autobiography, I suppose you work your strongest assets when you’re hawking a book. In this case, Tom Daley is working that Speedo like a bitch in heat. (This gratuitous post is a reminder of our Summer Olympics – the posts of which I’ll try to repopulate if ever I find a spare minute.)

The Briefs, Bulge & VPL of Ben Cohen

Not only is Ben Cohen beautiful and confident in the underwear department, he also has a tremendous heart, as evidenced by his StandUp Foundation. Check it out HERE, and pick up some of his underwear if you are so inclined.

Proud to Be a Bitcham

That is what some of the fans of Olympic diver Matthew Mitcham call themselves – bitchams – and I’m adding my name to the list.

Far more than Tom Daley, Mr. Mitcham really makes me miss the Olympics… and the Summer of the Speedo. He’s cuter, his accent is hotter, and he plays for my team. Team Bitcham all the way.

Ben Cohen’s Enormous Hose

Ben Cohen in various states of underwear will be featured in the next day of posts, so stick around, or come back often.

That Naked Adam Levine Photo

In honor of the rather startling (to me anyway) news that Adam Levine will be in this season of ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’, I give you this naked photo of him again – because when it’s that good, you want to do it over and over and over again. Personally, I was not sure about checking into the Asylum – there is no way they could possibly hope to top Season One as far as genuine surprises go, but I’m giving them a chance. I just hope they don’t veer into shock and gore to up the ante. That said, if they want to put Mr. Levine into Dylan McDermott’s first-season lack of clothing, I’m all for it.

A Salacious & Sleazy Weekend, For Your Viewing Pleasure

While I’m busy re-populating parts of the past (have you checked out the archives lately? Scroll down, there’s a nifty Widget at the bottom of the page, along with a new ‘Search’ feature), this weekend’s posts will be a simple collection of shirtless and/or naked male celebrities for your viewing pleasure. I’ll even get my ass out for the lone soul clamoring to see it (I’m a giver that way).
You may have noticed that construction on the site continues, but thanks to Webmaster Skip, the ship is slowly being righted, and she already looks shiny and new. For now, we’re offering a glimpse of ‘The Projects’ – they will show up in their entirety further down the road – and focusing on getting ‘The Photos’ and ‘The Writing’ up. I’ve whittled down the extravagant numbers of both to a more streamlined collection of work. There’s no sense in making you wade through filler and dribble, and even less wisdom in making me read through some piece of crap I wrote as a delusionally-self-righteous twenty-two year old.

Parting Glances at Provincetown

Like all great times, my birthday weekend finale in Provincetown had to come to a close. It’s been too long since I’ve been to this town at the very tip of the Cape, and after rekindling all the magic it offers I don’t think I’ll be staying away for so long in the future.

The light here is like none I’ve found anywhere else. For that alone, it is worth the visit. We also missed out on the beach, taking our sip of the sea and the sun from the whale watch.

While the whales were my favorite part, the seafood on hand was a very close second, with the cocktails taking a not-so-distant third.

The sweet Autumn clematis was coming into full bloom – the surest sign of the close of summer. There are a few weeks left, but we’ve taken the final turn.

The gate is being shut on another season, and though it’s sad to see it go, I do feel it’s almost time.

Fall arrives with its own set of enchantments, and I can’t wait to come under its spell.

Yet for now, summer is open a bit longer…

The Ladder of Improvement

Our ongoing quest for perfection continues as we tweak and twerq this website into something more marvelous than it’s ever been. Webmaster Skip has been working on getting things beautified, and I’m slaving away arduously at putting up past posts (no mean feat given that all photos need to be re-found and re-sized for the new format) as well as writing new ones. Now I know how President Obama feels running the country and a re-election campaign simultaneously. [Daintily wipes brow.]

How do you like what you see so far? I’m slowly getting the hang of things, and with my Skype Cherry popped by Skip a few days ago, we have an easy quick way of communication to speed things along when they get stuck. (Do not ask me to Skype though, I don’t have time to get a proper wardrobe together, much less a fitting backdrop, and don’t even talk to me about lighting.)

There’s a bit of a push, solely from my end, to have this website done in the next few weeks, as this Fall I am clearing time and space to focus on my next project, slated for ALL of 2013. That sort of thing takes some serious preparation. Are you ready?

A Couple of Gratuitous Shower Shots

Because no hotel stay is complete without a couple of shower shots – and when you’re staying at an establishment as fabulous as the 8 Dyer Hotel, you take a picture whenever you take a shower.

Evening Descends on the Cape

When the night descends on Provincetown, it’s a wholly altered world. Though the bars close relatively early (this being Massachusetts), they squeeze their fun into the fewer hours available and make the most of it. Personally, I prefer an earlier bedtime when there’s so much beauty early on in the day, but there are glimmers of gorgeousness in the night too, and an intriguing sense of mystery when the heat of the day dissipates.
It’s Mommie Queerest!
