The cup plant, despite a devastating aphid attack that continues out-of-hand, has managed to throw up a few yellow blooms against the blue sky. A valiant effort, and if anyone knows of any aphid-stoppers (aside from ladybugs, 1000 of which did nothing to the aphids last year) please send them my way. For now, I will enjoy the few blooms that made it through.
I feel summer slipping away faster than any of us want, so I took the summer back by spending a day not spending it, only enjoying – the sun, the warmth, the flowers. the book, and the pool.
