Looking Down on an Albany Afternoon

Two pictures taken from above and looking below on two parallel streets leading to the Hudson River (or as close as the poorly-planned riverfront currently allows). Whispers of renovations and gondolas and other fabled nonsense have circulated over plans for the river space; I’ll believe it when I see it. For now, I’ll steal these glimpses of beauty, hinting at the possibility of something greater than prettiness. An afternoon lunch break sometimes has to save the soul.
