A Fall Palette

Fall’s traditional color palette gets a refreshing update with the addition of these pink chrysanthemums – and pink and orange is a combination I’ve always loved. It also loops a bit of summer back into the autumnal splendor, and any echo of a sunnier season is welcome on the days of grey. A lot of people, myself once included, look down upon the humble chrysanthemum as too ubiquitous and common to be more than visual background noise, but I’m in awe and always honor their striking appearance. Just because something is suddenly everywhere doesn’t necessarily make it less beautiful.

More impressive is how every bloom is absolutely unique – one-of-a-kind like snowflakes and people and other flowers. One can get lost in examining and studying a single plant, and quite happily at that. Mindfulness in motion.
