Top Hat & Nipples
We’re 32 selections into the Madonna Timeline, so it’s time to take stock and see where we’re at, where we’ve been, and where we’re headed. It recently struck me that sooner or later (which is, by the way, the next selection) I’m going to come up against my favorite Madonna song – or at least some in my top ten. We’ve already hit one – Frozen - and we’re bound to hit them all eventually.
I toyed with the idea of saving my all-time favorite song (yes, I’ve narrowed it down to one – at least for the moment) for the very last selection – putting it off no matter when it came up, but that seemed too calculated and disingenuous to the random selection process we’ve got going, so whenever it happens to come up will be when I write about it. That’s about a third of the Madonna titles in the iPod, so there are many more tales to tell. What has yet to come? A few of my favorites for sure- including ‘Like A Prayer’ (which may have to be broken down into several posts because it’s just too epic), ‘Open Your Heart’ (for my growing up in the 80’s memories), ‘You’ll See’ (because, well, you’ll see), and ‘Crazy For You’ (for my very first boy crush).
