The Wisdom of Little Edie
People are very, very sensitive. No one takes into account how sensitive a person really is… terribly sensitive… and other people don’t understand how sensitive a human being is… they don’t understand it. So they run rough-shod over everybody. So where am I here?

Edie’s wrong.. she lived a stifled and insular life.. most people are borderline crude and crass.

I’m still trying to figure out the part about wearing a skirt over/under pants so that you can take it off and you still have pants. (Perhaps the most ambiguous line ever uttered in a movie – but a great one, nonetheless, chickens.)
