The Nitrite Spike
After a few weeks, it looks like our fishtank is finally starting to cycle. The ammonia levels are going down, and the nitrites are going up. From what I’ve read, this next stage is the lengthy one, while we wait for the nitrites to go down (after being converted to nitrates). This is my first attempt at fishless cycling, and it seems to be working.
(Apologies if this is boring to those non-fish-enthusiasts, but life is about variety. You never know what you’re going to get when you come here. Some days it’s fish, some days it’s Madonna, and some days it’s like nothing you’ve ever known.)
