Oscars 2012
A good/bad gay admission: this year I was more excited about the real Super Bowl than the Gay Super Bowl (the Oscars). Before you take my gay card away, it was because of Madonna, so give it back. I’ve actually only seen one of the Best Picture nominations (The Help), and one other Oscar-nominated Leading Lady performance (Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady) – so I’m not all that invested in this one. (I long for the days when there were only five Best Pic nominees, and one could actually see all of them without having to quit their job.)
My pal Skip invited me to a little viewing party, but given the fact that I wanted to wear something like this, I politely demurred.
