My Niece & the Lime
The last time my niece and nephew were over, Noah was adamant that I give him a piece of lemon he had spotted on the counter. Upon his repeated insistence, I gave in with a little smile, waiting for the sour-face to arrive, but it never did. Apparently babies don’t have the sour food bud development until later, so Noah sucked away on the lemon like it was coated in sugar.
While lunching at a Mexican Restaurant the other day, Emi did the same thing with a lime, offering only the slightest pucker when it hit her tongue.
We’ll be doing lemon drops and margaritas within the year, mark my words.
