Impending Party & Snowstorm
We are due to get a major snowstorm tonight, which is anything but timely as we are also supposed to attend Rob’s Holiday Party. We should make it there regardless of what the weather may bring, though a snowstorm may hamper any sort of extravagant outfit. (During such storms, I tend to favor substance over style – in the form of hooded ski jackets, bulky turtleneck sweaters, heavy jeans, thick socks, and boots. It’s not always pretty, but it’s warm and comforting, and that’s all that matters when the weather frowns.)
This will be the last big party until New Year’s Eve, so if the snow stalls I’ll try to rally up some sartorial splendor for Mr. Martin’s annual to-do. I owe it to the people.
